Function of the object

In terms of altimetry, the building is divided according to functions: the two underground floors will be used for parking, the ground floor will be used for service units, the first floor above ground of the building will serve as service units and the south-eastern part of the volume will have the function of a hotel, while the other floors will serve as residential apartments throughout the entire volume.

The underground parking floors can only be accessed via “Hysni Gerbolli” street and access from floor to floor is via ramps and stairwells. The parking spaces on the underground floors are positioned along the entire surface and the technical facilities are located on the -2nd floor. Access to the parking lot is realized on the north-west of the plot. The ventilation of the parking lot is intended to be natural, and for this reason ventilation shunts have been created along the perimeter of the underground volume.

Construction and installation network

The construction of the building will be with a reinforced concrete system and brick walls. The floors of the aboveground floors are with monolithic floors, and 60cm beams, flat beams with a height of 30 cm and a width of 60-80 cm. The staircase is inside a cage with reinforced concrete walls that will function as an emergency staircase. Importance has also been given to the aspiration and air conditioning network, making the aspiration of the kitchens with a separate line for each apartment and the heating and cooling system is with a multijet system.

Architecture, facades and finishes

The project we are dealing with, conditioned by its location in relation to the approved PDV and located in a situation with multi-storey buildings with different visual appearances and between existing buildings, the facades of the building in question are intended to be treated with a language of colorful rhythm that extends along the horizontality of our building and each of its planar views to have a color at a moment of observation. From different angles we encounter different color impressions, which makes the appearance of the building as a whole more creative and enables a more readable language for the orientation and understanding of the urban space in relation to the people who will live in it or simply visit it. Due to the density of the apartment rooms, the facade contains a high number of windows, the aim of the facade design is to create a regular rhythm of "cracks" and group them into several modules.
